The poverty made him seek the help of actor Rajkiran of En Rasavin Manasilae fame who also came from same place as vadivelu. Rajkiran then made him an Office boy in his studio.
Working in Rajkiran’s studio , Vadivelu caught attention of many people through his amazing acting skills. Particularly he caught the attention of Kamal Haasan who Subsequently offered him the role of comedian in his movies like Devar Magan , Singaravelan. Vadivelu also did many side roles with the famous comedy kings of Tamil Nadu , Goundamani and Senthil. Vadivelu’s performances in these movies took him to stardom.
